The meeting was held via Zoom and was called to order @ 7:14 pm by John Scarpucci, President.

Old Business Discussion of recent Feb 2024 flower show: plant show profit $4,200

New Business

How to increase club membership:

-solicit new members during our plant sales as per Laura Adair Wyche

Discussion of location of next plant sale to be held in 2024 Fall & 2025 flower show:

-The Duluth Fall Festival approx. $450/last weekend of September 2024

-St. Phillips Cathedral Farmers Market Sat. 8am-12pm April-Dec, approx. $100/table

-A third venue to be determined by July 2024

Upcoming Events

Saturday, May 4, 2024 meeting at 10:00 am: In person meeting to be held at Bellmere Garden House, 10777 Bell Road, Duluth, GA 30097. Speaker: Rus Clayton, Curator of the Athos Menaboni collection found in Kennesaw University's Zuckerman Museum of Art.  Athos Menaboni painted camellia drawings for the American Camillia Catalog.

The spring/summer picnic will be the final gathering of the year. If anyone is interested in hosting, please contact John Scarpucci to set a date & time. He will send an email to all club members.

Flower show 2025: Date TBD by the Atlanta Botanical Gardens a weekend in early Feb 2025
